Let’s begin!

The primary approach to using Imagery Cards comprises a facilitator and participant(s).

Before beginning, the facilitator may select however many cards that are relevant to the participant(s). The facilitator may spread the cards face up on the floor or a tabletop, wherever the cards can be easily seen. The facilitator then begins the conversation by providing the participant(s) a question/prompt.

It is up to the facilitator to evaluate what is best and relevant for the group/client. We encourage appropriate prompts and absolute care in deeper conversations. Remember to listen and simply let your group communicate at their own pace!

Note: Each set contains ‘8’ sensitive cards (common sensitive material, especially those of young age) that can be indicated by its red backing for easy removal to suit the setting. There still may be imagery within the set that may not be appropriate for your group/participant, so we highly recommend you carefully select your cards before beginning an activity.
